We had a decal allowing Seas the Day to stay in Florida until November 6, so we sailed in some weather on this trip which we would have avoided if we weren’t under this time constraint. By October 25 we were in Key West. Our mast is too high to cut across to the Gulf at Marathon, FL. The weather kept us in Key West for several days but on October 30 we started sailing north along the Gulf coast. One and a half days later we were in Naples. Mark’s son joined us there and we sailed across the Gulf to Mobile, AL. We left Naples on November 1 and sailed into Mobile on November 4.
