While staying in Spanish Wells, we took the fast ferry to Harbour Island for a day trip. Harbour Island is the first settlement in The Bahamas we have visited that could be characterized as a “tourist destination.” Compared to other stops, this was a busy, noisy town. Actually, the beach probably had 20 people on it. Golf Carts raced up and down the narrow streets. There were a few excellent restaurants and some gift shops. It was a fun day, but we were happy to be back in Spanish Wells at the end of the day. Blog for this visit is here.
