Hiking across Staniel Cay
Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Club Thunderball is on top of a hill overlooking the harbor. The photo at the left is the back of the club and the road we took to the dump. There is also a dock and small marina on the water side, where we left our dinghies. We haven’t been able to get the story about this restaurant/bar, but it is currently closed. Too bad, as it looks like a fun place. Along the road is the sign on a car door as pictured above.

We did find a useful piece of garbage at the dump, a ladder. We need one to use in the dinghy as it’s difficult to climb back into the dinghy after snorkeling. Well, to be truthful, I’m the only one who has trouble doing it.

After our hike, we went to the yacht club to get fuel in our jerry jugs. Then we went to the three grocery stores, The Blue Store, The Pink Store, and Isle General Store. The supply boat hadn’t arrived yet, and the shelves were partly empty, but we found everything we needed. Click here for more photos.
