Later in the afternoon, we all went ashore and had cracked conch and rum punch or beer at Scorpio, a local bar. The rum punch was almost all rum and very little punch. I spent about three hours drinking my little cup and brought it over to Lorraine’s for dinner. Lorraine’s is the little restaurant we went to yesterday to use the Internet.

We called for reservations early in the day and Lorraine’s response to all of our questions, like what time should we come, was “No Problem.” We showed up at 5:30, after Happy Hour across the street and Lorraine’s daughter took our order. We had previously learned that on Friday and Saturday nights, Lorraine serves barbecue for $14 a person. We asked her to repeat it several times to be sure we heard her correctly. We asked Lorraine’s daughter if we should order one item or if it was a buffet. She just told us to order whatever we wanted from the choices of grilled or minced lobster, grilled conch, ribs, chicken, or fish. As you can see from our plates, we got generous portions, including three sides of rice and peas, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. There was another table of about a dozen cruisers and another couple at a smaller table. We arrived last. Two hours after our order was taken, our plates were delivered to the table. That was fine, as we were in no hurry, and the food was worth the wait. In fact, we applauded when the food was brought as the presentation was beautiful.

Lorraine’s granddaughter was very friendly and had to visit each table. There was a birthday hat on our table - we don’t know why - so we gave it to DeAsia. Each table she visited (all three of them) sang “Happy Birthday” to her.
