My favorite couch is gone
All is going according to plan (sort of) at the house in Minnesota. It isn’t rented yet, but we’ve had several very interested lookers. The estate sale was very successful and the house is getting empty. Now we’re down to Craigs List, Goodwill, and the garbage can. Poor Daisy is getting worried that we will sell everything. Her favorite couch is gone and she has no place to rest, except for the doggy things - crate, bed, etc. She is watching us closely and never strays to far from wherever we are.
Seas the Day is currently about 600 miles from Ft. Lauderdale in the area of the Bahamas. The estimate is that it will arrive at the Catamaran Company docks by July 31. All seems to be going well. It will take about two weeks for CatCo people to go over the boat, make any repairs and get it ready for us. Our plan is to leave for Florida the first or second week of August and time it so we can move aboard when we arrive.
Within a week or two of arriving, we will take our Blue Water Sailing School course and then outfit the boat with anything else we need. We can only stay in Florida waters for 90 days before we have to register it there, so we will head north up the East Coast as soon as we can. Our mast is too high to go under bridges on parts of the ICW, so we’ll have to stay mostly on the Atlantic waters.
